Mercy Ships Cargo Day – 6 November 2024

On 6 November 2024, the shipping and trading community comes together to raise vital funds for Mercy Ships. It is an NGO operating the world’s largest civilian hospital ship serving in the poorest countries in the world.

The incredible work and life changing surgeries that are performed on the vessels have an impeccable impact and truly improve people's lives.

In 2023, more than 80 trading and shipping companies participated. In total, 60 cargoes were donated as well as 14 address commissions and 44 pledges. We are proud to share that more than $2’200’000 was raised. Participating in this journey has resulted in a raise almost USD 11 million since its launch in 2016.

Getting involved in Mercy Ships’ Cargo Day would show one’s best effort for a better world, promoting social responsibility by strongly assist and support lifesaving actions in medical care for the ones without access.

Who can join? Answer: Anyone - Colleagues, Brokers, Charterers, Owners and other Business Partners. Signing up is very easy and can be done on the Mercy Ship Cargo Day Website https://mercyshipscargoday.org/. On 6th of November and during the remainder of November 2024, Charterers can give or commit cargoes to participating Shipbrokers. These cargoes will be called Mercy Cargoes (and announced to Mercy Ships). Shipbrokers will then donate 50% of their commission to ‘’MERCY SHIPS’’.
