On the 26th of June, BRS long standing President Francois Cadiou (65) stepped down and the board elected current CEO of BRS Shipbrokers Gilbert Walter (59) to become the new President and CEO of the group.

Gilbert Walter will remain at the BRS Geneva Office where he has been located since 2007 when he left Paris to open BRS Geneva.

???????? ?????? ????: "I am very happy that BRSI board of directors elected Gilbert Walter as new President and CEO of BRS group. Gilbert is a gifted person who demonstrated all along his career a great amount of good judgment, leadership, dedication and care. He will take BRS higher and further.

I am grateful to all my predecessors and chairmen, Pierre Jourdan-Barry, Jean-Francois Cristau, Jean-Bernard Raoust, and Tim Jones who all made a difference and contributed immensely to the development of BRS that became a world class shipbroking company and founded also AXSMarine, a data and IT company providing chartering and freight solutions to the whole maritime industry and beyond. I am grateful to all the board of directors of BRS with whom we had passionate exchanges and thanks to whom we made hopefully the right decisions.

To run a company spread in 21 different countries in a highly competitive market is a great responsibility and not a long quiet river but there is a lot of happiness in the accomplishment.

BRS is a Great Place to Work."

??????? ?????? ????: "I thank the BRSI board of directors for their confidence. I am very proud to take over after Francois who always set the best examples of combining hard working, excellence, integrity, humanity and generosity. The core values of Shipbroking to serve our clients at best and to care of our employees in the “BRS Family”. During Francois Chairmanship, the group made it absolute best results ever, thanks to our unified forces. I will strive to continue our global expansion while maintaining our core values and keeping BRS as one of the best places to work, combining the personal and rigorous brokers daily work with the digital transition that our Shipping world is now encountering. I am very fortunate to have a solid board of directors, all experienced professionals of our industry that I rely 100 percent on."
